Iryna Ivashchuk focuses her practice in commercial and high-end residential real estate transactions, as well as corporate law, assisting clients in domestic and cross-border deals. Iryna is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and Spanish. She has an established network of attorneys in many foreign jurisdictions to serve as local counsel, including Ukraine and Russia.

Representative Experience

  • Represented an international cruise line and its affiliates in connection with the creation, development and implementation of the Historic Port of Falmouth, Jamaica, a brand-new, state-of-the-art full service cruise port in the Caribbean valued at approximately $225 million. Phase I of the project involved the negotiation and preparation of a marine construction agreement among the client, the Jamaican government and a marine contractor, and a development agreement and long-term ground lease between the client and the Jamaican government. Phase II of the project included the development of an upland retail center and accompanying infrastructure and preparation of about 70 subleases between the client and the international tenants.
  • Represented national multi-family owner/operator in disposition of portfolio of apartment complexes, valued in excess of $100 million, in its Chapter 11 proceeding.
  • Represented a non-U.S. party in the acquisition of a high-end residential property in Miami, Florida for the purchase price in excess of $14 million. Representation involved working with the client and its international legal team through every stage of the transaction, including development of the property holding structure, international tax planning, formation and capitalization of the purchasing entity, and construction of the interior improvements. 
  • Represented several buyers in acquiring multi-million dollar high-end residential real estate on Fisher Island, Florida.
  • Represented individuals and companies in purchasing and selling ownership interest in various multi-million dollar companies.
