Isaac Marcushamer concentrates his practice assisting distressed companies with finding legal and business solutions to their problems. He also assists investors with identifying and acquiring distressed assets.

Representative Experience

  • Representing TOUSA, Inc. and approximately 40 debtor and non-debtor affiliates in their currently-pending Chapter 11 cases that will restructure more than $2 billion in debt obligations, including obligations related to bank debt, senior and subordinated public bond debt, and complex land bank option and development contracts.
  • Counsel to Judge Herbert Stettin as Chapter 11 Trustee for the law firm  of Rothstein, Rosenfeldt & Adler, P.A.   This case is reported to be the largest Ponzi scheme in Florida history and involves approximately $1.2 billion in claims.
  • Represented Daniel Stermer as Assignee in the assignment for benefit of creditors for The Peer Center, a mental health support facility in Broward County. The Peer Center's assets were sold and its operations closed.  All creditors received a distribution and over $100,000 was donated to a charitable cause dedicated to the same mission as The Peer Center.
