Anthony Carriuolo Appointed as Ad Hoc Member of the Florida Bar Association's Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services
Anthony J. Carriuolo, a shareholder with the Florida business law firm Berger Singerman, was recently appointed as an ad hoc member of The Florida Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services. The purpose of the Pro Bono Legal Services Committee is to review the material and information submitted pursuant to the pro bono rules and to present to the Board of Governors and the Supreme Court any suggested changes or modifications to the pro bono rules.
Carriuolo, a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team, has extensive experience in a variety of fields, including complex business litigation, adversarial proceedings involving public bodies, and engagements as special litigation counsel to Chapter 11 debtors in possession, bankruptcy trustees and major lenders.
He is a member of The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section, the Federal Bar Association, and is a long-standing member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida. He is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Sections of Litigation and The Business Torts Litigation Committee. In addition, Carriuolo was appointed by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Director of the Florida Bar Foundation and to the Florida Supreme Court’s Task Force on the Management of Complex Litigation Cases.
In 2006 and 2007, Carriuolo was ranked in Commercial Litigation in Chambers & Partners USA Guide, an annual listing of the leading business lawyers. In addition, he was has been named to the “Florida Super Lawyers” list compiled by the publishers of Law & Politics magazine since 2007 and was recognized by the South Florida Legal Guide in 2009 and 2010. He holds a J.D. from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University and a B.P.A. from Florida Atlantic University.
