Berger Singerman Named Finalist for M&A Advisor's 6th Annual Turnaround Awards in Several Categories
Berger Singerman is pleased to announce that the firm has been named finalists for M&A Advisor’s 6th Annual Turnaround Awards, being held January 31, at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. The firm was nominated for two of its deals, the first being the reorganization of the Pittsburgh Hilton and eventual sale of the Pittsburgh Hilton to Wyndham Hotels and the second, the acquisition of HearUSA by Siemens.
The Wyndham deal, worked on by attorneys Daniel Lampert, James G. Gassenheimer, Brian G. Rich, Franklin Caplan, Phyllis S. Bean, David K. Black, William M. Shaheen and Alisa “Paige” Mason was nominated for “Turnaround of the Year (Middle Market)” and “Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Lower Middle Market).”
The HearUSA acquisition by Siemens, which was represented by attorneys Paul Steven Singerman, Brian K. Gart, Debi Evans Galler, Robert W. Barron and David K. Black was nominated in the “Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Middle Market),” “Cross-Border Deal of the Year (Middle Market)” and “Distressed M&A Deal of the Year (Upper Middle Market).” The deal was also nominated for “Sector Deal of the Year” in the Healthcare/Life Sciences category.
