Daniel H. Thompson Named to Chief Justice's Advisory Committee for 2012 Tobias Simon Pro Bono Awards
Daniel H. Thompson has been named to the Chief Justice’s Advisory Committee for the 2012 Tobias Simon Pro Bono Awards. The purpose of the committee is to review the nominations and make recommendations as to who should receive the annual pro bono service awards, given by The Florida Bar Association.
Thompson is a shareholder on the firm’s Government and Regulatory team and specializes in resolving concerns that clients may have with governmental regulatory matters, with a particular emphasis on environmental and land use issues. Prior to joining Berger Singerman, Thompson served as Deputy Secretary of Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his law degree, with honors, from Florida State University College of Law. He is a member of The Florida Bar, President of Florida Legal Services, Inc., on the Board of Trustees of the Apalachee Land Conservancy and Tallahassee Area Director of the Yale Alumni Schools Committee. Thompson is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed as a leading attorney in Florida Trend's Florida Legal Elite, The Best Lawyers in America, Florida SuperLawyers and Chambers USA, America’s Leading Business Lawyers.
