Kelly O'Keefe Honored as "Woman of Distinction" by Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle
Berger Singerman is pleased to announce that Kelly O’Keefe was honored as a “Woman of Distinction” by Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle at its 2011 Women of Distinction Awards Gala on November 3rd.
This year’s honorees are women who have distinguished themselves through service and leadership in their respective community. These women of distinction represent the areas of arts, communications, education, environment, faith, health, social services and government and O’Keefe is being honored in the legal category.
“The Awards Gala is truly an event to celebrate the women in our communities whose leadership and commitment enrich the lives of many,” said Raslean M. Allen, CEO of the GSCFP. “These women are providing role models in our communities which show girls the path to rise to positions of leadership and service in their community which continues to be an important part of Girl Scouting.”
O’Keefe, a shareholder and member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team, concentrates her practice in real estate litigation, administrative/governmental litigation and appeals. She serves on The Florida Bar Second Circuit Grievance Committee, the Florida Bar Judicial Administration and Evaluation Committee and is on the Board of Trustees for the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society. In addition, O’Keefe is a past president of both the Tallahassee Bar Association and the Tallahassee Women Lawyers and is an alumnus of the Tallahassee Chapter of the American Inns of Courts.
