Prominent Corporate & Securities Attorney Daniel H. Aronson Joins Berger Singerman
Daniel H. Aronson, a market-leading corporate, securities and transactional attorney, has joined the Florida business law firm Berger Singerman as a Shareholder, Group Leader of the Corporate & Securities Group and member of the firm’s Business, Finance & Tax Team. He will be resident in the firm’s Miami office.
Over his career, Aronson has played a principal role in representing public and private corporate clients and private equity and venture capital funds in high-profile, high-stakes mergers, acquisitions, sales, public and private securities offerings and a wide variety of complex financing transactions, and in counseling these and other clients in strategic business, capital markets, governance and transactional matters. His client representations have included AmeriPath, Apollo Management, ANDRX, The CHELA Financial Companies, Champion Products, Churchill Downs, Claire’s Stores, FPL Group, Goldman Sachs & Co., Johnson and Johnson, H.I.G. Capital, Liz Claiborne, Merrill Lynch Capital Partners, Noro-Moseley Partners, Noven Pharmaceuticals, Offerdahl´s Café Grill, Pollo Tropical, Ryder, Schering-Plough, SEACOR Holdings, Spherion, The Poynter Institute for Media Studies, Travel Services International and Vestar Capital Partners.
Prior to joining Berger Singerman, Aronson was an Equity Partner and Co-Chair of the Corporate & Securities Group at Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP (Miami), and prior to that, a Principal Shareholder for nearly 15 years at the law firm of Greenberg Traurig (Ft. Lauderdale and Miami), where he served as Co-Chair of the National Corporate Practice and Chair of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Practice. Prior to Greenberg Traurig, Aronson was a Partner at Steel Hector & Davis (Miami - 1989-92) and a Corporate Associate at the preeminent M&A law firm of Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz (New York - 1984-89).

Prior to joining Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz in 1984, Aronson served as a Law Clerk to U.S. District Judge Morey L. Sear in New Orleans, La. Prior to that he served as a Judicial Intern at the United States Supreme Court, Legislative Intern to U.S. Senator Lawton Chiles and Deputy Treasurer of the Democratic National Committee in Washington, D.C.
Aronson serves as Adjunct Professor of Law, in Capital Markets & Securities Regulation, at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he has designed, published course materials and taught courses concerning Business Organizations, Securities Regulation, Drafting Business Documents and Transaction Skills. He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Florida Venture Forum, where he has served as Chairman of the Board and Chair or Co-Chair of the annual Florida Venture Capital Conference. He is also an Executive Advisory Board member of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business Administration.
Aronson is a frequent lecturer, including at the prestigious annual Federal Securities Institute, and is the author of numerous articles and publications, in the areas in which he practices, including the book, Venture Capital: A Practical Guidebook for Capital-Seeking Business Owners, Managers and Advisors. He is one of the most highly regarded corporate, securities and M&A lawyers in Florida, with listings and recognition in Best Lawyers in America, Chambers & Partners USA Guide, The International Who´s Who of Merger & Acquisition Lawyers, Florida Super Lawyers, Florida Trend´s “Legal Elite” and the Daily Business Review´s "Top Dealmakers."
Aronson received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, and his law degree from New York University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Annual Survey of American Law. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and New York, and is an active member of the American Bar Association’s and The Florida Bar’s Business Law sections and various working committees thereof.
