Berger Singerman’s Katherine Amador Named Real Estate Attorney of the Year by Daily Business Review at 2026 Florida Legal Awards

MIAMI, FL. – May 1, 2026 – Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Katherine Amador, partner in the firm’s Business, Finance & Tax Team, has been named Real Estate Attorney of the Year at the 2026 Florida Legal Awards, presented by Daily Business Review. The awards ceremony took place April 29 at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami.
The Florida Legal Awards recognize attorneys and organizations that have made significant contributions to the legal industry and the state of Florida, honoring excellence in leadership, litigation, deal-making, mentorship and community impact.
Amador was recognized for her work leading complex, high-value real estate transactions across Florida, including advising on large-scale assemblages and condominium terminations shaping the state’s development pipeline.
Over the past year, she represented a sponsor in a strategic assemblage involving multiple multifamily properties and condominium unit acquisitions to position a site for future ground-up development. She also served as lead counsel on the negotiated sale and termination of a condominium, securing unanimous owner participation to deliver unified title and maximize value. In addition, Amador advised on a 99-year ground lease for an institutional development, navigating entitlement, financing and long-term operational considerations.
Known by clients as “the lawyer who gets deals done,” Amador represents regional and international developers, institutional lenders and family offices in complex real estate and corporate transactions. Her practice spans acquisitions, development, financing and distressed transactions, as well as cross-border investments, particularly for clients with ties to Latin America.
