Leading Restructuring Attorney Amy Denton Mayer Bolsters Berger Singerman’s Award-Winning Business Reorganization Team

Berger Singerman, Florida’s business law firm, is pleased to announce that Amy Denton Mayer has joined the firm’s nationally recognized Business Reorganization Team. She will be resident in the firm’s Tampa office. Her arrival further strengthens the firm’s capabilities in Central Florida, where she joins a team that includes Tampa-based partner Edward Peterson and Orlando-based partners Nicolette Corso Vilmos and Marc Levine.

Mayer has more than 22 years of experience representing a broad spectrum of clients in bankruptcies under Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and out-of-court workouts. Her experience spans numerous industries, including real estate, healthcare, food and beverage, hospitality, construction, and manufacturing. Appointed as a Subchapter V Trustee by the Office of the United States Trustee in February 2020, she has overseen more than 140 cases, more than any other Subchapter V trustee in the country.
Mayer is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification and is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and holds both a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of South Florida.
