Edward H. Zebersky is a seasoned trial attorney with more than three decades of experience representing clients in high-stakes insurance litigation including property claims, bad faith claims, auto health and property insurance class actions as well as defending a public adjuster in a class action. Ed also represents insureds in declaratory judgment actions against their own insurance companies for failing to defend and/or provide indemnity for liability claims as well as claims against insured’s brokers for failing to adequately procure insurance and/or properly advise their clients on the appropriate coverage to purchase.
An active leader in the legal community related to insurance, Ed was the President of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers as well as the Florida Justice Association. He continues to stay active with those organizations on their boards and has been a frequent lobbyist on behalf of consumers and has testified in both the Senate and House Insurance Committees. He also was extremely involved in the legislation that created Citizens as well as the re-write of Florida’s Surplus Lines Law. Ed is also involved nationally on the Board of the American Association for Justice, where he serves on the insurance section, as well as the Organizational Review, National Finance, and Judicial Nomination Committees. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Society of Barristers and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Ed previously served as President of the Florida Justice Association and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and has been recognized as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in America and “Lawyer of the Year”.
Ed is deeply committed to pro bono service and previously chaired Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida.
