William O. Diab is an associate on the firm's Dispute Resolution Team and Construction Law practice. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and construction litigation in state, federal and appellate courts, as well as institutional arbitration. William represents institutional clients and investors in business frauds, partnership disputes, and breaches of fiduciary duties. William also represents developers, design professionals and general contractors in claims for construction defects and delays, design professional liability, government bid protests, and appeals. He is regularly called to use his foresight in litigation and risk mitigation to counsel clients throughout the various phases of construction projects and advise on the drafting and negotiation of complex, multi-tiered construction contracts, modifications, and other project emergencies.

- Defended a national steel and primer manufacturer against a multi-million-dollar construction defect claim by a high-end residential condominium association resulting in a favorable settlement for a minimal amount at mediation.
- Defended an international architectural firm against claims for design errors and omissions and dereliction of construction administration duties resulting in allegedly millions of dollars’ worth of delays and cost overruns, settling the case at a nuisance value on favorable terms to the client.
- Represented individual developer against developer entity and business partner for fraudulent transfers, breach of the operating agreement, and breach of fiduciary duties over the mismanagement of several residential buildings on Miami Beach, resulting in a multi-million-dollar cash-out settlement for the client.
- Prosecuted non-payment claim on behalf glass manufacturer and supplier against a subcontractor and surety on a public works project in Miami-Dade County, and defended against counter claims for defective product and breach of contract. The trial court entered a money judgment in favor of the client. The appellate court affirmed the favorable judgment.
- Regularly drafts master construction, design, and supplier contracts for developer corporations, architectural firms, and general contractors. Also prepares and negotiates construction contracts with subcontractors, design professionals, and government bodies in connection with high-end residential buildings, commercial real estate, and infrastructure projects in Florida, as well as a mixed residential and hotel resort in the Cayman Islands.
