Alejandro Miyar is a commercial litigator and partner at Berger Singerman who handles high-stakes business disputes for clients across Florida and beyond.
Alejandro's practice encompasses all aspects of business and real estate litigation. He represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial matters — including breach of contract, business tort, fraud, securities, franchise disputes, and high-exposure punitive damages claims — as well as real estate litigation. His clients include closely held businesses and their owners, high-net-worth individuals, and foreign and international clients who bring him their most consequential disputes — matters where the dollar values are significant, the facts are complex, and the outcome is not easily determined. He has gone up against Fortune 500 companies and multinational adversaries on behalf of his clients. A first-chair trial lawyer, he litigates cases from inception through trial and appeal.
Before practicing law, Alejandro built a career in public affairs and communications — serving as a national spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., as press secretary to a former Mayor of the City of Miami, and as a senior operative on a successful Florida presidential campaign. That background shapes how he works: he communicates clearly, thinks strategically, and understands how disputes play out beyond the courtroom.
As one of the firm's Innovation Partners, Alejandro plays a key role in Berger Singerman’s efforts to integrate emerging technology into the practice of law — helping the firm deliver smarter, faster, and more efficient service to clients.
Alejandro has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for 2024 and 2025, previously named to its "Ones to Watch" list for 2021–2022, and selected among "10 to Watch" by Miami Law Magazine. He received the "Young Lawyer on the Rise" Professional Excellence Award from the Daily Business Review in 2017.
Alejandro is a graduate of Ransom Everglades School, Haverford College, and the University of Miami School of Law. He lives in South Miami with his wife and two children.
